José Luis Aguiló trained in various academies in his city, where he became familiar with different techniques and artistic styles. His work is characterized by abstraction and has been exhibited in galleries in Barcelona, New York, London and Tokyo, among other cities. Aguiló has received important recognitions, such as a grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2006.
