Domènec Fita y Molat excelled in a wide range of disciplines and materials, including sculpture, painting, ceramics, stained glass and the innovative use of polyurethane, cement, iron, steel, wood, stone and alabaster. His extensive artistic work, difficult to classify due to its variety, was complemented by teaching. His monumental legacy is visible in important buildings in Catalonia, such as the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and the Cathedral of Girona. In addition, his work decorates other public and religious spaces in Girona, such as the monolith of the Mandamases and several stained glass windows.
