This watercolor of Luis Manero Miguel responds to his characteristic naturalistic realism, of a luminous sensibility very close to impressionist approaches. The composition shows a high mountain landscape treated with a light brushstroke, where the gouache provides density in the snowy areas and the watercolor allows vibrant transparencies in the valley greens.

Luis Manero Miguel was a self-taught painter linked to figurative realism, with stages close to social realism. He studied in Madrid and later in Rome thanks to a scholarship. Upon his return, he developed a solid teaching career in drawing institutions in Burgos, combining it with his artistic activity.
