Kieff Antonio Grediaga began his artistic career in the field of cabinetmaking, collaborating from a very young age with his father in the restoration of religious furniture, an experience that decisively marked his material and formal sensitivity. His first exhibition took place in 1968 at the Moos Gallery in Montreal, where all of the works presented were purchased, a fact that gave an early boost to his international projection.
From then on, his work was shown continuously in galleries and fairs in Canada, the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Israel and various European countries. Among his most recent exhibitions is El Canto del Hierro (Cádiz, 2022), inspired by Manuel de Falla's Siete canciones populares españolas. In the public space, his monumental sculpture The Turning Point (iron and aluminum) was exhibited in 1980 in Columbus Circle, New York, as part of an international fair.
Kieff's work is part of important institutional collections, such as the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, the Museo Emilio Bacardi Moreau in Santiago de Cuba and the Museum of the City in Madrid. His production ranges from small-format bronzes to large structures in iron, wood and marble. Currently, the Kieff Antonio Grediaga Foundation, with headquarters and museum under construction in Tendilla (Guadalajara), is working on the conservation, dissemination and pedagogical projection of his legacy.
