JOAN LLAVERÍAS LABRÓ (Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, 1865 - Lloret de Mar, Girona, 1938).

Published in the book "La Conquesta de Les Muntanyes Blaves", vol. 22. Biblioteca Patufet. Josep Maria Folch i Torres, p. 131.
Measurements: 21 x 14,5 cm.

Painter and draftsman, Llaverías studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. Founder of the Center of Watercolorists of the city of Barcelona, he celebrated exhibitions and participated in artistic contests of diverse importance, like the Official exhibition of Barcelona of 1894. As an illustrator, he was one of the most brilliant of the Catalan modernist period, having collaborated in newspapers and weeklies such as "Cucut" or "Patufet". He illustrated some of the works of Josep María Folch i Torres and was the teacher of the illustrator Lola Anglada.
