This work belongs to an early phase of Jano Muñoz’s career and offers insight into some of the explorations that preceded his later focus on landscape and realistic figuration. The drawing combines precise lines with broad areas rendered using shading, creating a quiet atmosphere in which negative space plays an essential role.

Jano Muñoz began his training at the Pablo Picasso School of Arts in A Coruña and later moved to Barcelona, where he held some of his first exhibitions. His painting evolved toward a figurative style close to realism and hyperrealism, focusing particularly on the urban landscape, portraiture, and the study of light. He participated in the 6th Mostra Unión Fenosa in 1999, and his work is part of the collections of Afundación and the Museum of Fine Arts in A Coruña.
