Table Model "Phidea", 80's.
In two pieces: glass top and polished steel legs.

The "Phidea" by Pete Sans, created for BD in the 1980s, is a low coffee table. The oval-shaped glass top reveals the attractive set of polished steel tubes, bent in such a way that they take on a spider-like appearance. This is an example of the ingenuity that characterizes the work of Pete Sans, with a sculptural sense reduced to the essentials.
An architect and designer trained in Barcelona and Germany, Pete Sans won an Oscar for best lighting product at the 1983 Moving International Fair in Paris for his "Lamparaprima". Since then he has focused his activity on design, producing personal, original and avant-garde works. In 1988 he won the Delta de Oro for his "Coqueta" chair, and in 1990 he was commissioned to design the furniture for the French Institute in Barcelona. In 1994 he created his own production company, PeteSans Sistemes Integrals.
