As a genuine classic, Fabricius tells the story of furniture. The "Conversation sofa" combines Scandinavian design tradition and functional aesthetics with the charm of casual seating comfort. Precise in the treatment of the metal, superior quality in the surfaces: the armrest and the supporting structure frame the sliding seat. The result is lightness and simplicity. Whether as a soloist or as a set, it was made for lounges, foyers and living rooms.

Preben Fabricius was born in Denmark in 1931 and with his business partner Jorgen Kastholm helped shape the world of Danish furniture design until his death at age 52 in 1984. Fabricius began his career as an apprentice cabinetmaker under master carpenter Niels Vodder, who made Numerous pieces of furniture for other Danish designers over the years. He studied at the School of Interior Design, trained with architect Finn Juhl, and upon graduation was hired by architect Ole Hagen. Fabricius met Jorgen Kastholm at the School of Interior Design and the two became friends. In 1961, they solidified their business partnership and founded their own architectural office, specializing in the design of single-family homes and furniture. They traveled to Stuttgart with their first designs for production at the dying factory near Fellbach. Their international success came at the Cologne Fair in 1966, when they exhibited a whole range of office and home furniture. Their minimalist designs, usually in steel and leather, were attractive and comfortable.
