The Rocchetto stool, whose name in Spanish means "spool", is made up of two identical plastic components, with a removable rigid top and an upholstered cushion. It is a versatile design that can be used in two ways: as a seat and as a side table. Rocchetto, a lesser-known design by the Castiglioni brothers, embodies the couple's unique functionalist approach, often combined with a playful touch. The Castiglioni's designs were expressive and imaginative, with an underlying simplicity.

This red edition is less common and therefore increases its collector value.

An Italian architect and industrial designer, considered one of the founding fathers of design in Italy, Achille Castiglioni trained at the Politecnico di Milano. In 1944 he finished his studies and joined the studio formed by his brothers Pier Giacomo and Livio. Finally, in 1952 Livio left the group to continue his career independently. Until Pier Giacomo's early death in 1968, the two brothers collaborated on numerous designs. Achille was a professor at the Politecnico di Torino and at the Politecnico di Architettura e Design Industriale di Milano, where he supervised the thesis of the Asturian designer Patricia Urquiola. Throughout his career he has been awarded important prizes, such as the Disseny de Barcelona in 1993. His work is currently represented in leading museums such as the MoMA in New York.
