These fiberglass chairs, designed in the 1970s, seem to pay homage to the iconic Tulip Chair by Eero Saarinen. Like the archetype that inspires them, they sit on a circular base that is joined to the foot with organic fluidity, eliminating the legs in favor of an elegant singularity that does not detract from stability. This base, emblematic of mid-century modernist design, gives the chair a sense of weightlessness and a refined silhouette that seems to spring from the ground, emulating the delicacy of a single-stemmed flower. The enveloping shell, with its ergonomic curvature, promises comfort. The fluidity of form, devoid of sharp edges and abrupt transitions, eliminates the superfluous. It is above all in the openwork backrest that these chairs forge their own identity and stand out from their predecessor.
