This coffee table is an example of the 1970s European taste for organic forms and the exaltation of the raw material as the protagonist of the design. Carved from a single block of rosewood root, the piece preserves the natural irregularities of the material, with its intricate pattern of veins, cavities and chromatic transitions ranging from honey tones to deep browns. This almost sculptural treatment responds to an aesthetic sensibility that sought to integrate nature into the domestic space, transforming each piece into a unique and unrepeatable object.
