DESCRIPTION
Pair of table lamps; Italy, 1960s.
Marble and brass.
Electrified. In working order.
Measurements: 103,5 x 26 cm (without shade); 103,5 x 55 cm (with shade).
Pair of lamps with three lights each, one zenithal and the other two located just below on the sides. These are hidden under the lampshade. Both pieces have the same design based on an aesthetic inspired by classical antiquity. An example of this is that the shafts of each of the lamps seem to represent an obelisk.
Both shafts are erected with the sobriety and majesty typical of architectural emblems conceived to endure in the memory of the centuries. Their square plan serves as a stable foundation, evoking the solidity of the immutable.
