DESCRIPTION
PAOLO PIVA (Adria, Italy, 1950) for DE SEDE.
Armchair 206/11, 1980.
High quality black and yellow leather.
Black lacquered metal frame.
Condition: 8/10.
Measurements: 65 x 63 x 70 cm.
Singular armchair designed by Paolo Piva for the Swiss firm DeSede. Of radically daring postmodern design, it is characterized by the innovation in its design (combining empty spaces and asymmetrical shapes) which is emphasized by the chromatic contrast in its upholstery (black with yellow details). The leather is of high quality.
Paolo Piva trained at the University Institute of Architecture in Venice. Throughout his career, he has gained international recognition for his work for major Italian furniture firms such as B&B Italia, Giovannetti, Dada and Poliform.
Based in Klingnau, located in northern Switzerland near the German border, De Sede has been producing high-end furniture since the 1960s, when it began collaborating with international designers to create premium handmade leather chairs, lounges and sofas. Over the years, De Sede's product offering has expanded to include tables, beds and other furniture.
