DESCRIPTION
Pair of armchairs. Rolaco, ca.1960.
Iron structure, iroko wood and chenille.
Exhibits wear consistent with age and use.
Measurements: 70 x 65 x 65 cm; 40 cm (seat height).
This pair of armchairs belongs to the Spanish publisher Rolaco, produced around the sixties. It is a design that combines noble and functional materials, representative of the rationalist and timeless style characteristic of the period.
Each armchair has a black lacquered tubular iron structure, which gives it solidity and an elegant industrial aesthetic. The armrests, made of iroko wood, add a warm and natural touch to the set, contrasting with the metallic sobriety of the base.
The seat and backrest are upholstered in chenille, a soft and resistant fabric that provides comfort and a refined finish. The upholstery, in neutral tones, highlights the purity of the lines and the balanced proportion of the design.
