Measurements: 30 cm (minimum height); 65 cm (maximum height); 21 cm (width); 70 cm (depth).
Table lamp attributed to Madom, made in Spain during the 70s. It is a representative piece of retro-futuristic design characteristic of that decade, in which the aesthetics of the "Space Age" merged with the new industrial materials and the expressive use of color.
Its metal structure, lacquered in a vibrant orange, reflects the energy and optimism of the 1970s, while the chrome details provide a sleek, technological contrast.
From this cylindrical base emerges a U-shaped metal arm, with clean lines and balanced proportions, which supports the hemispherical shade. This shade, adjustable in some models, concentrates the light downwards, creating a soft, directional beam.
Madom was a Spanish lighting company, based in Barcelona. The name "Madom" comes from the combination of the surnames of its two founders: Matos (a furniture dealer in Barceloneta) and Domper (an industrial engineer who had worked with tactile ignition systems). Its most relevant period of activity was during the 70s, a time when lighting design in Spain was experiencing a strong international influence (Italian, Scandinavian) and they were starting to play with new materials, finishes and aesthetic possibilities.
