DESCRIPTION
GIUSEPPE OSTUNI (Italy, 20th century).
Wall lamp, 1950s.
Lacquered perforated aluminum cone and brass body.
With ball joint.
It has a slight mark of the lacquer and rust on the brass.
Measurements: 20 x 16 x 9 cm.
Mid-century wall sconce by Giuseppe Ostuni, founder of Oluce in 1945, and author of bold lamps such as Ochetta or the sconce we show, whose design influenced models of the time. The piece features a conical diffuser in aluminum lacquered in a soft yellow tone, perforated by a series of holes arranged in a circle that allow the light to filter creating a warm luminous effect. The whole is articulated by means of a metal ball joint, which allows the beam of light to be directed with great ease, and is supported on a brass base that provides elegance and material contrast.
