Michael Ducaroy's Togo series is a Ligne Roset classic, unsurpassed in comfort and style for more than thirty years. Created in 1973, it is characterized by ergonomic designs with multi-density foam construction and quilted upholstery, resulting in seating that is both visually appealing and physically inviting.
Ducaroy has designed pieces that have become legendary, with the Togo series being the most iconic. It was presented the year of its launch at the Salon des Arts Ménagers in Paris winning the Renè-Gabriel Prize in 1973.
Trained at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, after his studies, Ducaroy began in 1954 to work for the company Ligne Roset, located in the Ain region where until the end of his career he headed the design department. During the 60's and 70's, new materials emerged in which Ducaroy became interested: foam, wadding, thermoformed plastic, new materials that allowed him to give life to new designs, creating creations that were modern and timeless.
