Table lamp produced by Martinelli Luce, model 666, designed by Elio Martinelli. Iconic design of late-modern Italian rationalism, with fluid lines and sculptural silhouette, conceived to provide direct desk or support lighting.
Since the 1950s, Elio Martinelli promoted a simple and rigorous design language, based on geometry and forms inspired by nature, making Martinelli Luce a benchmark of Italian design. He experimented with new materials such as methacrylate and created iconic models such as Cobra, Bolle, Foglia or Biconica, which continue to be outstanding examples of innovation and originality in 20th century lighting.
