These table lamps, made of marble and dated around 1930, can probably be placed in the Italian context, within the aesthetic context of Art Deco. Their design fully responds to the formal principles of this movement, characterized by the purification of lines, the geometrization of volumes and the exaltation of noble materials. Each piece presents a rotund and balanced structure. The stepped base, with a quadrangular profile, supports a hemispherical central body, made of light marble, whose smooth surface contrasts with the upper lid and the pedestal in dark gray veined marble.
In the Italian context of the 1930s, the Art Deco style took on a particularly elegant and sober expression, in dialogue with traditional craftsmanship and a taste for stone materials. These lamps reflect this balance between modernity and classicism.
