Set of six cantilever chairs made with black lacquered tubular steel structure, combined with seats and backrests in thick stitched leather, a distinctive feature of Matteo Grassi's production. Its design, with sober lines and balanced proportions, reflects the functional aesthetics of Italian design at the end of the 20th century, where structural solidity is harmonized with the use of noble materials.
Matteo Grassi was a company founded in Italy (mid-20th century) specialized in high quality furniture, especially leather upholstered pieces. During the 1970s and 1980s it achieved international recognition for collaborating with leading designers and for its technical mastery in leather work, which became its hallmark. The firm produced tables, chairs, desks and office furniture with an elegant and modern aesthetic, very representative of the Italian design of the time.
