DESCRIPTION
JAIME TRESSERRA CLAPÉS (Barcelona, 1943).
Round dining table.
Veneered wood.
Slight rubbing and some missing veneer on the edge.
Round dining table designed by Jaime Tresserra, of great formal presence and conceived from a marked architectural logic. The piece stands out for its large circular top, articulated by radial divisions that emphasize the geometry of the whole and provide a precise and refined visual rhythm.
The central base, formed by crossed vertical panels, provides stability without overloading the design, maintaining a clear and functional reading. The visible metal fittings reinforce the technical character of Tresserra's furniture, where the construction systems are not hidden, but form part of the aesthetics of the piece.
Jaime Tresserra began his projection in 1987 when he presented his first collection at the Valencia International Furniture Fair, where he won the Award for Best Modern Furniture Design. In 1994 he founded Tresserra Collection, a firm dedicated to the exclusive production of his designs. His pieces were exhibited at international fairs such as Milan and Cologne and received awards such as the ID International Design Magazine Award and the International Design Review Award in New York, consolidating him as a reference in Spanish design at the end of the 20th century.
