Table lamp "Tharsis", designed by Luis Pérez de la Oliva for Fase. Its design is articulated by two cylindrical chromed volumes with oblique cuts, joined by a curved arm that allows to orient the lampshade and to generate different light positions.

The piece has a marked Space Age aesthetic, based on shiny surfaces, aerodynamic shapes and an almost mechanical reading of the object. The contrast between the chromed metal, the dark lacquer and the light interior of the lampshade reinforces its technical and futuristic character, while maintaining a great formal elegance.

Luis Pérez de la Oliva specialized in the design of office and home lamps. He worked mainly for Fase between the seventies and eighties. Fase was one of the most recognized Spanish lighting houses of the period, especially valued for its articulated table lamps, in which functionality, industrial design and visual modernity are combined with great personality.
