DESCRIPTION
Ceiling lamp. MAZZEGA, Italy, 1960s.
Hand-blown Murano glass, with pulegoso glass and white lattimo decoration.
One external bulb E27.
Very good state of preservation.
Measurements: 38 x 40 ×40 ×40 cm.
Large ceiling lamp made of hand-blown Murano glass, with a pulegoso glass surface that introduces small bubbles in the vitreous mass and brings a vibrant and luminous texture.
The lattimo white decoration, arranged in a horizontal strip, generates a delicate contrast with the transparency of the glass, reinforcing the atmospheric character of the chandelier. Its rounded, suspended volume responds to the sensibility of mid-century Italian design, where the Murano tradition of craftsmanship is combined with modern, simple forms and a strong decorative presence.
Mazzega, established on the island of Murano, was one of the most prominent manufactures of the twentieth century, recognized for reinterpreting the glassmaking tradition through collaborations with designers and a production of high technical quality.
