DESCRIPTION
ROBERT GUILLERME (France, 1913-1990) & JACQUES CHAMBRON (France, 1914-2001).
Set of four chairs.
Wood.
Measurements: 80 x 50 x 52 cm; 45 cm (seat).
Set of four chairs designed by the renowned French creators Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron, fundamental figures of post-war French design and co-founders of the famous Votre Maison firm. These pieces perfectly reflect the philosophy of both designers, characterized by the combination of functionality, quality craftsmanship and a refined modern aesthetic.
Made of wood, the chairs have a solid and balanced structure, with refined lines and harmonious proportions that highlight the natural beauty of the grain. The backrest with horizontal crossbars adds visual lightness to the design, while the seats upholstered in salmon-colored fabric offer an attractive chromatic contrast.
Jacques Chambron (1914-2001) and Robert Guillerme (1913-1990) studied, respectively, at the Reims School of Decorative Painting and the Boulle School. They became partners in 1949, founding "Votre Maison" in Lille, during the difficult post-war period. They imposed a new concept of furniture defined by creativity, craftsmanship and quality. Chambron's sons will continue the family business, maintaining the international recognition gained in the 1950s.
