Vilanova is renowned for his mastery of woodworking and his contemporary reinterpretation of Mediterranean tradition. He trained at the Busquets workshop and later collaborated with Lluís Gili. He won the Silver Delta Award (ADI/FAD, 1964) for the Delta stool. His work is featured in the Museu del Disseny in Barcelona, and among his most renowned designs are the Tiracord and Billar chairs, as well as the Tartera and Petit rocking chairs.
