DESCRIPTION

STORDAL armchair, Norway, 1970s.
Wood and foot
Measurements: 75 x 70 x 85cm.

The armchair stands out for its striking stained beech wood structure laminated and curved (bentwood), very characteristic of the time to emulate exotic woods. True to the Nordic design philosophy, the legs and armrests form a continuous, flowing "S" or zigzag line on the sides. This steam-bending technique not only adds visual lightness, but also offers subtle flexibility and natural cushioning when sitting.
