DESCRIPTION

MCINTOSH table clock, 1980s.
Black lacquered metal, multicolored hands. Features a sculptural tubular spiral base.
Quartz movement.
Measurements: 18 x 10 cm.

This McIntosh clock is notable for its combination of functionality and sculptural design: its minimalist dial with perforated markers, the brightly colored hands, and the original tubular spiral base reflect the postmodern aesthetic of the late 20th century, in which everyday objects were also conceived as decorative pieces. Its unconventional appearance makes it an attractive example of the industrial design of the era and a striking piece for collectors of clocks and contemporary design.
