A pair of chairs carved from solid walnut that stand out for their bold, geometric design with minimal ornamentation. These characteristics link them to the language of Brutalism, a movement that, when applied to furniture design beginning in the 1950s and 1960s, championed the authenticity of materials, structural honesty, and the power of volumetric forms. Inspired by the principles of Brutalist architecture, this approach rejected superfluous ornamentation to highlight the texture, visual weight, and expressiveness of materials such as solid wood, concrete, and metal.
