Set of four chairs with a distinct postmodern aesthetic, constructed through an expressive combination of geometric surfaces and curved lines. The square seats, lacquered in red and perforated with small circular punctures, rest on straight legs. In contrast to the angular structure, the backrest and armrests are formed by black tubes that trace a sweeping, enveloping curve.

The contrast between red and black gives the piece a graphic presence, almost like a drawing in space. The structural elements are openly displayed and form an essential part of the composition: every joint and curve serves as a visual element. The punctures in the seat visually lighten the piece and introduce a rhythm that softens the severity of its straight lines. Attributing the design to Philippe Starck is consistent with the bold design language he developed in the 1980s.

Philippe Starck founded his own firm, Starck Product, in 1979 and collaborated with some of the leading international furniture manufacturers. His body of work spans architecture, interiors, furniture, and everyday objects, always driven by a quest for synthesis, innovation, and visual impact. His work is widely represented in institutional collections, including those of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, which holds numerous pieces by the designer, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris, where such significant designs as the Costes armchair and the Boom Rang chair are featured.
