Chema Alvargonzalez began his artistic education studying painting and multimedia at the Massana School in Barcelona. In that same center, a year later, 1986, he enrolled in Contemporary Image in process. He then continued his education in Berlin, where he took a master's degree in Fine Arts and Multimedia at Hochschule Der Künste HDK. Chema Alvargonzalez exhibited his work individually as well as collectively and his exhibitions were shown nationally and internationally. Examples are exhibitions such as "Transito", in La Coruña (2014), "CROSSLINKS + Passages in between" Video and light installation, photographs at Play Gallery, Berlin (2003) or OverlappinG The Skin, at Wigmore Fine Art, London (1999), among others. Today his work can be found in relevant private collections and important art centers such as the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Palma de Mallorca (EsBaluard), Fundació Vila Casas, Museu Art Contemporani de Barcelona, (MACBA), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Madrid and the Cristina Masaveu collection among others.
