Russian school, ca. 1830.
"Emperor Alexander I of Russia".
Patinated bronze.
Measurements: 43,5 x 20 x 10 cm; 51 x 17 x 14 x 14 cm (with base).

This sculpture depicts Alexander I of Russia, emperor of the Russian Empire since March 23, 1801, king of the Polish Tsarate since 1815 and the first grand duke of Finland. He is dressed in the fashion of the time, in a buttoned frock coat and wearing his decorations. He adopts a determined posture, with one leg forward with respect to the other, in accordance with his political and social position.
