This splendid sculpture, made in alabaster on a base that combines this material with natural stone, shows us a modest young woman folding her arms over her chest. The carver skillfully reinterprets the technique of wet cloths, so that the fine fabric adheres to the body, modeling it while draping naturally where the limbs are folded in graceful gestures. The sculpture combines an admiration for the masters of the Italian Renaissance with a following of the guidelines set by the great sculptors of the Italian XIX century.
