Patinated bronze.
On marble bases.
With slight chipping in the marble.
Measurements: 26 x 16 x 16 cm (total).
Pair of chalices or ornamental goblets in patinated bronze of Renaissance style. Made in the nineteenth century, they show a rich and profuse vegetal decoration that develops in dynamic formations. On a base of lobular profile and mixtilinear section rises a foot carved with floral compositions worked in relief. The vessels are wide and have a rounded base bordered with inverted pinnacles. The exterior is decorated with a vegetal frieze on which protrude anthropomorphic masks that probably represent fauns or humors. The mouth is outlined with ovals. Inside, the seat is decorated with a vegetal rosette and a line of fretwork outlines the eaves.
