Alberto Bazzoni (was an Italian sculptor. After serving in the First World War, he settled in Parma, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts between 1908 and 1913. His public works include a fountain for the Reggio Emilia barracks and monuments dedicated to the fallen in Fidenza and Salsomaggiore. In 1926 he moved to Milan, where he continued his artistic career. The influence of his study of Roman sculpture is evident both in the statue of St. Augustine made for the Milan Cathedral and in the tomb of his wife Bianca, located in the Monumental Cemetery. In 1936 he moved to Paris, where he lived until the outbreak of World War II, dedicating himself to the production of small bronzes for private collectors. After a second stay in the French capital, between 1946 and 1950, he finally returned to Milan.
