According to the artist, each additional book that is read accumulates knowledge in a pillar, always motivating to obtain new information. The sculpture symbolizes the search for knowledge and the curiosity that drives it. The books represent the accumulated wisdom of mankind. In keeping with this idea, the artist here depicts a human figure seated on a tower of stacked books, with another large open book in his upraised hands, held skyward. The sculpture also reflects the artist's personal experience in learning and exploring different cultures and disciplines.

Tolla Inbar is a contemporary sculptor known for her expressive bronze figures that explore themes such as human relationships, emotions and spirituality. After attending school in Stuttgart, where she focused on ceramics and sculpture, she emigrated to Israel. His works are often inspired by his own life experiences, such as his childhood on a kibbutz, where he learned to appreciate nature and community, his travels around the world, where he learned about different cultures and religions, and his personal challenges, such as coping with the loss of his father and brother. Throughout his career, Tolla's works have evolved from realistic, figurative forms to more expressive, semi-abstract ones. Using the ancient method of bronze casting, Tolla's work embodies universal questions about the reasons for life and the complexity of the universe. Since 1995, Tolla has worked in his unique, naturalistic style, combining wood, metal, glass and bronze to create monumental models and sculptures. His sculptures have been exhibited in many countries, including the United States, China, Italy and France, and have received positive reviews from both critics and the public. He has also received several awards and distinctions, including the International Sculpture Prize Pietrasanta e la Versilia nel Mondo in 2008, the Honorary Citizenship of Pietrasanta in 2010 and the Gold Medal of the City of Florence in 2012. They are currently part of several outstanding collections: National Liberty Museum, Philadelphia. His work is part of the collection of this museum, known for its historical importance. Tolla Inbar's works are exhibited in several international galleries and private collections such as that of former U.S. President Bill Clinton and art collector Leonard Wien.
