DESCRIPTION
LAUTARO MANUEL CORREA PARRA (Ecuador, 1973).
Untitled.
Porcelain painted with acrylic. Unique piece.
Signed on the left leg.
Measurements: 32 x 21 x 15 cm.
Polychrome porcelain sculpture that combines humor, vitality and a marked pop language. It represents an anthropomorphic pig, erect and in dynamic attitude, whose surface is covered with symbols and patterns of intense colors: hearts, eyes, spirals and abstract forms. The vibrant palette, reds, blues, greens, blacks and yellows, generates a visual rhythm that is almost musical, inviting the viewer to walk through it in detail.
Narratively, the piece seems to celebrate the exuberance of life and cultural diversity, evoking Latin American folk art but with a contemporary and playful twist. Its playful and expressive character invites emotional interaction, conveying joy and an ironic reflection on identity, consumption and the collective imaginary.
Trained in his native country, Lautaro Manuel Correa Parra has developed a career marked by the exploration of identity, memory and color as a vehicle for symbolic expression. His work combines influences of contemporary Latin American art with references to muralism, expressionism and popular culture. Through a personal style with a strong graphic charge, Correa builds visual universes where irony, myth and pictorial emotion coexist.
