This piece plays with the paradox of duality within unity. The central slit symbolizes a separation that does not destroy, but connects in a mysterious way. It is as if it celebrates the imperfections and the stories that are hidden in the margins of what at first glance seems to be a whole.
Self-taught artist, with complementary training in Fine Arts and Architecture, disciplines that partially studied and that influenced in a decisive way in his plastic language. From the beginning of his career he opts for independent learning, especially in the field of sculpture, where he develops a personal and coherent work outside of academies.
His work is inscribed in the field of figurative abstract art, with a refined and essential language. In recent times he has been working in stone sculpture, working especially with materials such as alabaster and marble, and experimenting with different types: white marble from Macael, black marble from Marquina and black marble from Calatorao.
His work has been presented in individual exhibitions at the Museo Tiflológico de la ONCE (Madrid) and at the Fontanar Gallery in Riaza (Segovia), as well as in various institutional exhibitions at the Riaza Town Hall. He has also participated in national collective exhibitions, such as the VII Salón de Arte Abstracto in Madrid, Esculturas frente al mar in Dénia and the Concurso Internacional d'Escultura ICRE in Tarragona. He has recently exhibited in Galería Origen (Madrid) and Galería ArtNou (Barcelona).
