This piece is part of the series "Jaulas", in which Laura Lio explored concepts such as limit, containment and fragility through light constructions of almost drawn appearance in space.
Laura Lio is an Argentine visual artist based in Madrid since 1990. She studied at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes "Ernesto de la Cárcova" in Buenos Aires and later at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she specialized in engraving and obtained a doctorate in Fine Arts.
His work is part of public collections and museums such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), the Museo Patio Herreriano de Arte Contemporáneo Español (Valladolid), the Museo Municipal de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo (Marbella) or the Museo de Teruel, among other institutions.
