Photographer of German origin, Jürgen Klauke, was formed artistically in the Werkschulen of Cologne, where he studied from 1964 to 1970. He is one of the initiators of the performance movement in Germany. His ephemeral performances led him to experiment with the genre of photography with the intention of documenting his actions. However, in them you can appreciate a personal and idiosyncratic aesthetic that defines them as works of contemporary art. His works have a certain influence of avant-garde artistic currents, such as surrealism, or social art. Throughout his artistic career he has also worked as a teacher, teaching art and photography in the city of Kassel.
