Member of the Royal Photographic Society. Since 2010, the photographic work of Margarita Mata Ortiz has been recognized in various competitions, highlighting awards such as the First Prize in the contest "We are all a neighborhood" of the Royal Photographic Society in 2018 and the award for Best Photo of the Year in "My photo in B / W" of the same institution in 2024. He has participated in competitions organized by the City Council of Alcorcón (2012 and 2013), the Extremadura Association of Alcorcón, Fotovilla Villaviciosa de Odón and the Mapfre Photo Contest, consolidating his career in the photographic field.

She has exhibited her work in spaces such as the Margarita Burón Cultural Center in Alcorcón, the Gallery-Bar "La Inquilina" in Lavapiés and the College of Architects of Madrid, bringing her photographic gaze to different audiences. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Real Sociedad Fotográfica, where she actively participates in its activities and exhibitions. Her photography is characterized by a special sensitivity towards light and composition, exploring both urban life and black and white portraiture.
