DESCRIPTION
LUIS VIOQUE (Madrid, 1966).
"Madrid", 2000.
Black and white photography.
Measurements: 14 x 25 cm; 42 x 72 cm (frame).
Luis Vioque is a photographer from Madrid whose work stands as one of the most subtle and evocative proposals of the contemporary minimalist landscape in Spain. Recognized for his masterful use of the panoramic format and the analogical technique in black and white, Vioque transforms infinite horizons and transit spaces into scenarios of absolute silence and a deep poetic charge. Through emblematic series such as "Oceans" or "Passing Landscapes", the artist moves away from the documentary narrative to capture the geometric essence of the environment, making the horizon line act as a nexus between physical reality and emotional introspection. A member of the NOPHOTO collective, his work has been widely exhibited and is part of prestigious collections, establishing himself as a reference in the creation of images that invite visual meditation and the contemplation of emptiness.
