Photographer Ralf Schmerberg is known for combining the sophisticated aesthetics of fashion and advertising with a conceptual and philosophical approach. Throughout his career he has worked for major international brands and magazines, developing a very cinematic style, careful in lighting and composition, and has also directed artistic projects such as POEM (2012), a reinterpretation of the Tao Te Ching with the participation of figures such as Willem Dafoe, which places him as a hybrid creator between commercial photography and contemporary art with an interest in themes such as spirituality and the human condition.
