This previously unpublished photograph is of particular documentary interest as it shows Joaquim Mir in the midst of the creative process, focused on his canvas and holding his painting tools. The spontaneity of the shot offers a rare glimpse into the daily practice of one of the key figures of Catalan Modernist landscape painting.

Joaquim Mir developed a style characterized by the autonomy of color and an intense interpretation of light in the landscape. His work is widely represented in the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and in other major Catalan public collections.
