DESCRIPTION
Noucentista silver bracelet with enamels. Catalonia, ca. 1900.
Rigid bracelet made of silver, composed of a succession of openwork elements decorated with polychrome enamels applied in relief, representing stylized floral motifs and leaves, clearly inspired by classicism. The design presents a rhythmic and orderly repetition of volumes, with a balanced and refined composition, characteristic features of Catalan Noucentisme, a movement that claims formal harmony and ornamental restraint against the preceding modernism.
The enamels, in shades of green, blue and pink, provide chromatic contrast and visual richness on the patinated silver background, while the articulated structure guarantees a correct adaptation to the wrist. The lug clasp is discreetly integrated at one end, maintaining an "endless" format.
Weight:
18.5 × 3 cm Measurements.
A representative piece of Catalan noucentista jewelry, appreciated for the quality of its craftsmanship, the good preservation of the enamels and the clarity of its decorative language.
