The Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) is the official royal institution of Spain whose mission is to ensure the stability of the Spanish language. The RAE is dedicated to linguistic planning through the application of linguistic prescriptions aimed at promoting linguistic unity within and between territories to ensure a common standard.
