Facsimile edition of the 16th century illuminated codex "Historia Heráldica y Orígenes de la Nobleza", whose original is kept in the Monasterio de El Escorial. This is a worldwide edition belonging to the editorial project Máxima Regia Collectio, limited to 980 copies numbered from 1 to 980 and produced by Ediciones Grial in co-publication with Patrimonio Nacional, on the occasion of the IV Centenary of Philip II.
This work was dedicated in 1549 by Otto Truchses to Philip II, who esteemed this manuscript with special predilection. The author of the calligraphy was Hans Tirol, a famous architect and master painter.
