Facsimile edition of the Ordinances of the House and Court of King Peter IV of Aragon, a 14th century manuscript completed in Valencia in 1353, which describes in detail the internal organization, ceremonial and daily life of the Royal House, structured around the four great palatine offices: Steward, Chancellor, Rational Master and Camerlengo. The original codex, preserved in the Library of the Bartolomé March Foundation and known as the Manuscript of San Miguel de los Reyes or the Phillips Manuscript, consists of 116 parchment folios, written on both sides, bound in leather-covered boards with gilded fittings. The facsimile edition, published in 1994, is accompanied by a codicological study volume by Dr. Bonifacio Palacios Martín, with a prologue by H.R.H. Don Carlos de Borbón, Duke of Calabria, and contents that include history of the manuscript, analysis of the ceremonial and translation into Spanish. Both volumes are presented in an elegant dust jacket with double compartment.
