The piece of furniture, from the Elizabethan period, is characterised by a design of sinuous lines. The upper body is composed of a folding box, which when folded out creates a writing area and a compartmentalised interior. The upper drawers are complemented by a drawer unit in the lower body. The decoration is sober, except for mouldings and linear incisions on each drawer.
