Table lamp of modernist style and period. Made entirely in chromed bronze, it shows the sculpture of a dragon or a griffin (half eagle, half lion) standing on a mixtilinear base, displaying chiseled wings. Its long, flexible neck intertwines with the foot of the lamp and its beak opens to reveal a flaming tongue. This design can be related to some models by Lluís Domènech i Montaner (1850-1923), one of the most outstanding architects of Catalan Modernism, along with Antoni Gaudí and Josep Puig i Cadafalch. His work is characterized by a fusion of architecture, craftsmanship and symbolism, incorporating decorative elements inspired by nature and mythology.
