Set of console and mirror. They present a transitional style, bringing together in its design ornamental elements and solutions of Louis XV furniture, but also advancing solutions of Louis XVI furniture. The cabriole legs joined with exuberant chambrana, are indebted to the profusion of Louis XV decoration, but the set tends to stylize this tendency to recharge the furniture by stylizing the lines, lightening it and concentrating the laborious vegetal carving in the form of fine cresting. This decorates the flanks of the waist and the crosspiece, while it runs around the perimeter of the mirror, bordering its molded and sinuous frame. It is topped with an openwork top with scrolls, ribbons and brackets around a central medallion.
